EV Charging Levels
There are 3 main levels of EV charging options for Electric Vehicles: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Each level requires a progressively higher input voltage, but the higher the level, the faster the charging process. Level 1 and Level 2 are typically seen in residential applications where Level 2 and 3 are common in commercial settings. We recommend installing Level 2 chargers for residential use and there are many makes and models available. Most Level 2 chargers are portable with a traditional 240V plug and can be transported from home to your office, cottage, or while travelling for convenience and are simple to plug in and use. We install all brands of EV chargers including Tesla EV chargers. When combined with solar or other renewable energy sources, making a switch to an electric vehicle is a great way to move towards a greener lifestyle and save money in the long run.
