Solar panels typically yield a 10-year payback period and is not only a smart investment, but provides a renewable source of energy production. SolarHomes Program Rebate

Solar homes is currently offering all Nova Scotia homeowners a rebate of $0.3/Watt installed DC capacity. The rebate is capped at $3,000, or up to 25% of eligible pre-tax system costs.
The solar homes rebate is administered by Efficiency Nova Scotia and to qualify, you must use a listed solar contractor from their preferred network.

Canada Greener Homes

Recently launched by the federal government in spring of 2021, this program provides Canadian homeowners with a 0% interest loan option of up to $40,000 to make energy efficient retrofits to their homes including solar PV. The program requires the homeowner to participate in a Home Energy Assessment.
